Teen girl charged with posting nude photos on Internet
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A 15-year-old girl has been arrested for taking nude photographs
of her self and posting them on the Internet, police said.
The girl, whose identity was withheld, was accused of sending out photographs of
herself in various states of undress and performing a variety of sexual acts. She
sent them to people she met in chat rooms on the Internet, police said.
Police seized her computer and found dozens of photographs stored on the hard drive.
Authorities did not say how police learned about the girl.
She has been charged with sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography
and dissemination of child pornography.
So, I'm at a bit of a loss as to whom she was abusing. does the law against such abuse include self abuse? which I assume this must be?

First of all, I had the same question when reading this post, i.e. whom was she abusing. Secondly, I'm sure she is not the first teenager to do this, so why pick on her? Maybe there is more to the story that wasn't published.
If she had sent people pictures of other children, then these charges would actually make sense.
What's next? If someone atempts suicide, will they be charged with atempted murder?
Actually, I've read that it is against the law to attempt suicide, though it is not against the law to commit suicide.
I guess they figure you are out of their jurisdiction if you succeed. <lol> stupidity runs rampant.

I know this is an older post, but I just saw it. If she's only photographing and posting pictures of herself, leave her alone. However, as someone said earlier, I'm geting the sense that there might be more to this story. If she was photographing and sending out pictures of other kids, then I think there's a problem, and she should be punished. We don't know both sides here, so how can we really make an accurate judgment?
